Nigerian wigmaker Helen Williams has secured her place in the Guinness World Records by crafting the longest hand-made wig, measuring an astonishing 351.28 meters (1,152 feet 5 inches). Williams dedicated 11 days and invested two million naira (£2,000: $2,500) in this extraordinary endeavor, utilizing 1,000 bundles of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and 6,250 hair clips.

Despite her eight years of experience in wig making, Williams admitted feeling exhausted during the process but persevered with the encouragement of friends and family. To accurately measure the wig, she laid it out on a highway connecting Lagos and Abeokuta on July 7. Guinness World Records officially confirmed the achievement, and Williams proudly displays her record-setting creation in her office for public viewing.

This accomplishment adds another impressive entry to Nigeria's recent feats, following the culinary sensation Hilda Baci's world record for non-stop cooking earlier this year.
