In response to the ongoing protests against hardship and soaring food prices in Nigeria, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a groundbreaking initiative.

Comptroller General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi revealed plans to distribute seized food items to Nigerians, aiming to address food security challenges and alleviate economic difficulties.

The distribution, contingent on certification for human consumption, aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's food security agenda. The NCS emphasizes transparency, fairness, and public safety in the equitable distribution of these essential items across the nation, reaffirming its commitment to national well-being.
