Bandits launched a devastating attack on Tantatu and Aguba communities in Kaduna State's Kufana District, kidnapping at least 86 individuals. The assailants, reportedly armed and in large numbers, plundered shops, and homes, and looted valuable items during the assault. This marks the eighth abduction incident within the state in the past month, reflecting a worrying escalation in insecurity.

The recent wave of attacks has rattled residents, with many fleeing to neighboring areas for safety amid fears of further violence. Despite the gravity of the situation, the state government has yet to respond to the latest incident. While the Kaduna State Police Command confirmed the abduction, they struggled to ascertain the exact number of victims due to poor communication infrastructure in the region.

Meanwhile, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff assured Governor Uba Sani of ongoing efforts to rescue the abducted individuals, emphasizing the military's commitment to restoring peace and security. As the nation grapples with these persistent security challenges, the need for decisive action and effective measures to safeguard citizens remains paramount.
