Victor Osimhen's outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award as Napoli secured a 2-1 victory against Braga at the Estadio Municipal de Braga on Wednesday night.

The Serie A champions took the lead in the 45th minute when Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo found the back of the net. However, Braga managed to level the scores four minutes from the final whistle, with Bruma scoring the crucial equalizer.

The dramatic late twist came when Sikou Niakate inadvertently redirected the ball into his own net, granting Napoli all three points.

While Osimhen had a few missed opportunities during the game, his overall performance garnered praise from UEFA, which described him as "fast and powerful, extremely dangerous in the box, and brilliant in play with his back to goal."

Despite his impressive display, the 24-year-old Nigerian striker has not scored in his last three appearances across all competitions for Napoli.

Napoli will be back in action on Sunday as they face Bologna in Serie A, aiming to continue their strong start to the season. Osimhen will be eager to find the back of the net and contribute to his team's success in the upcoming matches
