Notably, Asake and Olamide were nominated for their hit track 'Amapiano.' Portable, who had previously mocked Asake in a viral video, indirectly aimed another dig, advising fellow artists to prioritize Afrobeat over Amapiano for global recognition.
The comments come in the wake of Nigerian Grammy nominees' disappointment, with Portable asserting that the Grammy is attainable only if Afrobeat gains international prominence.
