Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, in preparation for the upcoming November 11 governorship election, has pledged to maintain a peaceful electoral process. Bello conveyed this commitment to President Bola Tinubu and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.

During an address to APC supporters in Okene, Bello stated, "From Kogi East to Kogi West to Kogi Central, today, I am in charge." He assured that there would be no violence in Kogi State during the election, emphasizing the overwhelming support for the APC.

Bello, often referred to as the "White Lion," emphasized his dedication to upholding the peace and expressed that Kogi State would remain firmly in the hands of the APC. He acknowledged the substantial support demonstrated by the people of Kogi, vowing to follow in the footsteps of the party's leadership. The governor's assurance is a pivotal aspect of the state's electoral preparations.
