A 33-year-old man identified as Henry Okwuome has been arrested for raping his neighbour’s eight-year-old daughter.
According to DAILY POST, Okwuome had allegedly invited the victim, a primary school pupil, to his apartment at Idimu under the pretense of sending her on an errand. He allegedly forced the unsuspecting girl into his bed where he had carnal knowledge of her, with a warning not to tell anyone about what happened.
The rape wasn't discovered until the girl’s mother sighted blood stains on her cloth while washing them later that night. pon inquiry, the victim revealed what Okwuome allegedly did to her.
The suspect was arrested and charged to court where he pleaded not guilty.
