President Muhammadu Buhari will today embark on an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany in furtherance discussion of security and humanitarian issues in North east.
The president will spend three days in the country before heading back to Abuja on October 15th, 2016.
Here are 6 possible things President Muhammadu Buhar will do in the Republic of Germany...
- President Buhari will discuss with the Federal Chancellor, Angela Merkel and discuss on issues of shared interests between Nigeria and Germany.
- Including further cooperation on security, the humanitarian situation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and rehabilitation of the North-East
- The President will be accompanied by Governors Kashim Shettima of Borno State and Rochas Okorocha of Imo and representatives of the National Assembly to meet Federal President Joachim Gauck and discuss on trade and economic relations between both countries.
- President Buhari will participate in a Business Forum in Berlin with leading German companies already active in Nigeria and other prospective investors for administration’s objective to attract more foreign investment and create economic opportunities in the country.
- The President is expected to meet with representatives of the Nigerian community in Germany.
- Asides the bilateral meetings, Sahara Reporters said the president will also pay a visit to a local hospital. Though not clear what medical problem he will be attending to, but Nigerians will recall that a couple of months ago, he traveled to London for a minor ear treatment.
