News is in circulation that President Goodluck Jonathan secretly visited former Vice President of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku on Friday in a meeting that extended from the night into the next morning - on Saturday.

According to Sahara's 'presidential sources,' President Jonathan went to Atiku's home in a bid to get the former VP to lead an alleged interim government 'of national unity.'

As the story goes, the president has been secretly trying to sell the idea of an interim government to several political figures in the past weeks.

Sahara reporters says the members of his inner circle - "Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, First Lady Patience Jonathan, Governors Olusegun Mimiko and Ayo Fayose of Ondo and Ekiti respectively, as well as senior presidential aide Doyin Okupe, - have worked out a plan that basically says 'no way in hell are we letting Buhari come into power.'

Atiku apparently was taken aback when Sahara Reporters contacted him, but added that GEJ never brought up the idea of an interim government while with him.
