Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday denied any involvement in the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party.

Atiku was reacting to a story in a national newspaper which linked him with the crisis in the party.

In a post on Twitter by his media office, Atiku said he had no hands in the PDP’s problems.

Addressing the newspaper, the media office said that "Former VP @Atiku has no hand in PDP crisis."

A factional national chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff, had on Wednesday alleged that the rival Ahmed Makarfi faction in concert with some PDP governors was planning to hand over the party’s 2019 presidential ticket to an unnamed founder of the platform currently in the All Progressives Congress.
