For Babatunde Lawal, a crippled shoe maker, there is Ability in Disability. Babatunde lost his ability to walk after being shot in a bus robbery. According to him, "They beat me, shot me, robbed me and dropped me by the roadside,"

The terrible incident has since rendered him cripple. Unable to afford his surgery, Babatunde makes ends meet with his shoe-making venture which he runs in his room. His room is a haven for beautifully-made leather foot wears. His mother also attests to his hardwork and ingenuity.

Though Babatunde hopes to expand his business in the nearest future, he solicits help from kind-hearted individuals so he can go for his surgical operation.

BattaBox presenter, who recently visited him at his house has this video of how Babatunde struggles to survive as a handicapped person in Nigeria's mega city, Lagos.
