Students of public schools in Chibok Local Government of Borno State have returned to classrooms two years after closure.
A report from Mr Femi Owolabi, a freelance journalist who visited the Junior Day Secondary School in Chibok, stated that the students ‘have now become academically poor.”
“Some of them cannot even write their names correctly again. They’ve been out of school for years, and most of them have been on the farm with their parents.” Owolabi quoted one of the teachers as saying.
