Sports Don't blame the Super Eagles; NFF are the cause of Nigeria's problems- Dimeji Lawal

Former Nigerian international Dimeji Lawal has blamed the plight of the Super Eagles on the crises that plagued the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF).

Lawal believes that the travails of the Super Eagles does not stem from the poor technical input from the coaching crew nor the players, but rather picked out the football administrators as those to be blamed.

Nigeria is currently struggling to qualify for the 2015 African Nations Cup which they are the defending champions. The Super Eagles have just one point after two matches in the qualifying series, with Congo and South Africa occupying the top two positions.

"When the head is rusty, how do you blame the technical crew and players for just not measuring up? It’s clear there is no one to chart a part of progress, so the coaches and players ave no one to give them ears. It is therefore affecting them off the pitch and on the pitch” Lawal told Sports Vanguard.

“Yes result is not good right now but I still want to absolve our players and technical crew of blame. This was never a time to rake up crises, on the brink of very crucial qualifiers. Those involved owe us the responsibility to sit up and return football back of course.
