A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Johnbull Asemota, and 20 executive members of the party in Uhumwonde Local Government Area of the state have formally declared for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a mass rally in Benin City at the weekend.
Also defected to the APC over the weekend were the chairman of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers (NUPENG) in the state, Osahon Osamuyi, and members of the union numbering over three thousand.
Asemota said he decided to join the APC to lend support to the Governor Adams Oshiomhole in his quest to quickly develop the state.
