Politics Ex-Kano Justice Commissioner Takes Over Saraki, Ekweremadu's Forgery Trial

A new four-man team of prosecutors have taken over the forgery trial of Nigeria's Senate President Bukola Saraki, Ike Ekweremadu and other principal officers of the Red Chamber, The Punch report.

The new team is headed by ex Kano Justice Commissioner, Aliyu Umar (SAN). Other members of the team are a Lagos-based public interest litigation lawyer, Jiti Ogunye; Raphael Origo, and a state counsel from the Federal Ministry of Justice, Yetunde Adeola-Cole.

They will take over from the Director, Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Mr. Mohammed Diri, as the case comes up today.
