Biodun Akpapo, a 40 year old farmer from Afojupa Village, Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Ogun state, fled his home last Wednesday after his wife, Bose delivered a set of triplets.
Mr. Akpapo could not settle the bill at the maternity home after Bose had given birth to their triplets. As a result, the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Kolawole Sowemimi stepped in and rescued the mother of the newly born babies by paying her hospital bills.
According to the 30 ear old mother, her husband had not been at home when she went into labour . she had been taken to the hospital by her neighbour on a motorcycle.
Mrs. Akpapo expressed regret over the situation of her husband absconding and refusing to come home to face his responsibilities as the man of the house.
