As the race to the 2015 general election gathers momentum, political gladiators across the nation jostle for various elective posts, most especially into the House of Representatives and the Senate. From records, more than 40 per cent of the federal legislators were never returned and there is nothing on ground to suggest otherwise come 2015. Investigations have revealed that at least 200 of the nation’s over 450 national legislators may never make it back to the National Assembly for various reasons. National Mirror, the nation’s leader in political reportage brings to its esteemed readers ‘the 200 Federal Lawmakers who may not return in 2015’. This piece is serialised and dished sizzlingly every Friday and Tuesday. HAKEEM GBADAMOSI and AZA MSUE present Ondo and Kaduna states federal lawmakers who may not return to the National Assembly in 2015.

Constitutionally, lawmakers, both at state and national levels are not constrained by tenure limitations, but for certain reasons, among which are zoning, aspiration to higher elective posts and non-performance, many federal lawmakers may not return to the National Assembly in 2015.

Ondo State

Three senators, Ajayi Boroffice, Ayo Akinyelure and Boluwaji Kunlere, representing the North, Central and South senatorial districts respectively represent Ondo State at the Senate while 9 members represented the people of the state at the House of Representatives.

All the three senators were elected on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, the ruling party in the state, but the senator representing the North senatorial districts, Boroffice, at the wake of the 2012 governorship election in the state cross carpeted to the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, now All Progressives Congress, APC.
