Horcelie Sinda Wa Mbongo, a HIV Positive 21-year old has been crowned Miss Congo UK 2017.
Bella Naija reports that Horcelie was 11 when she discovered that she was HIV positive from birth.
Speaking after her victory she said, “I’m happy I’ve won at least something in my life. My story has warmed people’s hearts and that’s the most important thing.''
She is studying for a fine arts degree in London and plans to return to Congo to carry on campaigning on HIV and AIDS.
