Governor Ayodele Fayose has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to repent and accept that he's the reason Nigerians are suffering.

In a statement released on Monday, Fayose said Buhari should stop diverting the attention of Nigerians with victorious news about Boko Haram or the antigraft war so as to cover up the bad situation of things.

“This year’s Christmas is the worse in the history of Nigeria," he said. "People cannot afford to celebrate and enjoy themselves due to the hardship caused by the APC government. To make matters worse, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) also created artificial scarcity of cash, such that people could not access their hard earned money in the banks as most banks in the country do not have cash to pay their customers.”

“Like I have maintained, the main issue confronting Nigerians now is hunger and hunger does not speak the language of political propaganda that is being used by the APC led federal government. It is therefore no longer about diversionary news, it is about preventing Nigerians from dying of hunger,” he said.

The governor said, “the only solution to the myriad of problems facing the country is for those holding power in Abuja to face the sad reality that it was the hard stance of the president, his statements against Nigeria and its people both at home and abroad coupled with his demonstration of hatred against some sections of the country and desperation to crush his perceived enemies that led us to where we are today.

“It was the president that went to foreign countries to de-market Nigeria by calling all Nigerians thieves and dishonest people. He was the one who created atmosphere of economic and political instability in the country by his acts of nepotism and vindictiveness?

“Therefore, for the country to move forward, the President must change his attitude from a vindictive military dictator to a civilian president of all Nigerians.”

Religion aside, it is very sane to lend constructive criticisms to a system of governance. Things are failing obviously, and should not be blamed on faith.

Buhari is nt d cause of Nigeria problem, if we don't have faith in d government of d day and pray for its success is it castigating that will solve d problem thajt already compounded by previous government where on earth will just a fraction of populace controlling d nation resources which was nt legitimately earn, think very well yourself oluogunjobi let us be realistic to our self Buhari is doing his best we yourself Nigerian we HV problems we want Nigeria to be great but we don't want to make sacrifice to salvage the rust already created. Rome is not be wt rose but the Romanian sacrifice to make it great likewise Japan and China let support and put all hands together to salvage our dear country forget this fayose how many gov u hear talking rubbish lk him. Nemesis will caught up with him soon u will see his true colour

We should never have blind faith in a government even as we pray for their success. All voices of criticism should be listened to and challenged on its merit. The moment we start calling for the silencing of opposition, we have a problem. Fayose et Al have a right to be heard

What is d merit in fayose criticism, constrictive critics is welcome not with malice which is what fayose is doing even before election that is what he is doing, is he d only Gov in d country, why can't he keep his shot and concentrate to served his people well by exploring the state in term of industrialization so that Nigeria will be self sustain, after they have bastardised the country during their reign when d country suppose to be in better developed they squandered our wealth with their self fish interest. Truth shall prevail and God will help d Buhari government to salvage the country
