Ogun State deputy governor has distanced herself from a Facebook account created in her name by fraudsters whose aim is to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, PUNCH reports.
Mrs Yetunde Onanuga who made this known in a statement issued by the Ogun State Ministry of Information on Sunday urged the public to disregard posts by the fraudster. According to her, the account operator has been using the Facebook account to promise contracts and employment opportunities for unsuspecting members of the public. The fraudster had also been using the account to make derogatory comments on the leadership of the APC in the state.
The deputy governor said she did not subscribe to any social media and that any person found bearing her name on social media was doing so to deceive members of the public and cause crisis.
