The Inspector General of Nigeria's Police Force, Ibrahim Idris, is insisting on investigating Senator Buruji Kashamu over accusations that he is involved in the assassination of Oladipupo Adebutu, a Reps member from Ogun state, according to the Nation.
Idris has also challenged Kashamu to substantiate his counter-allegations against Adebutu, in his counter-petition to the police, that Adebutu was instigating the police to, among others, arrest him and transport him to the United States of America.
Idris' points are contained in a counter affidavit in response to a fundamental rights enforcement suit instituted by Kashamu before the Federal High Court, Abuja.
Kashamu had filed for a restraining order to prevent his arrest by the police.
