The Imo State House of Assembly on Thursday confirmed additional five commissioner-nominees sent to it by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Their confirmation followed their screening by the Assembly and the recommendation of the 10-man screening committee chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Mr Donatus Ozoemena.
Ozoemena said the nominees had been carefully scrutinised with special focus on their administrative experience and were found eligible for the appointment.
The lawmakers unanimously voted in favour of their confirmation when the confirmation was put to vote during plenary,
The confirmed nominees are Mrs Adaora Ijezie, Mr Val Mbamalu, Dr Theodore Ekeji, Dr Edward Ihejirika and Barr Henry Alaribe.(NAN)
