A Seattle based couple have been arrested and charged with kidnapping and torturing the man’s 13 year old brother for three months. The boy, who went to visit his brother for the summer holidays had a nail driven into his hand and was locked in the couple’s cellar for days without food.
Brandon Gunn, 27, and his 34 year old wife, Viviana have been charged with kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment and four counts of assault..
The alleged torture began as early as May 1 and ended when the teenager escaped from his brother’s cellar. The family suspected something was wrong when communication from the teenager ceased and failure to get a law enforcement official early.
The young boy was also duct taped to a chair with tape over his eyes and mouth, where he was subsequently beaten with a baseball bat and metal bars over his head, legs and torso.
He lost consciousness numerous times.
The case is yet to go on trial.
