Sports Nations Cup qualifiers: Super Eagles technical crew now banking on Ahmed Musa

Assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi is delighted with the impressive forms of Nigerian players in Europe, adding that it will help the team in their 2015 Nations Cup qualifying matches.

Amokachi singled out Musa, who has been shining for his Russian side, both in the league and in Europe.

Musa has been in scintillating form for both club and country in recent years, gradually becoming a focal point for his teams.

He was on Thursday nominated by the Confederation of African Football(CAF) as one of the players listed for the 2014 African footballer of the year award.

And Amokachi having watched Musa's fine displays for CSKA Moscow against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, believes that he will be bringing such form to the Super Eagles for the Nations Cup qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.

"We are lucky that most of players who are no injured at the moment are on form and that should give us an edge over our opponents in our remaining games," Amokachi said.

"Musa has been an epitome of a true professional footballer and the way he has been conducting himself on and off the pitch should give us reason to be confident that we will give a good account of ourselves in our remaining games for Morocco 2015," Team Administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor said.
