The federal government of Nigeria is set to launch a new recruitment scheme for graduates which will see over 100,000 graduates employed.

According to Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbe, the employed graduates will be drafted to farms in all local government councils across the country, as extension workers to help government realize its food production drive.

He said the initiatives were necessary because government “is doing everything to encourage our youths to take up farming as a business and not as a hobby.”
