The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has released 2017 Batch A Stream 1 Call up letters for prospective corps members nationwide.
The 2017 Batch A Orientation Course will commence on 23rd May and end on 12th June 2017.
Below is a comprehensive list of essential things prospective corps member must take to camp as compiled by Nigerian Bulletin:
1. 2017 Batch A PCMs are encouraged as a matter of priority to be immunized against cerebrospinal meningitis before reporting to camp.
2. Authentic Student ID Card – (Original and photocopies)
3. Certificate /Statement of Result from your School (Original and 6 Photocopies). If you are a Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or an Optometrist, you will be expected to carry along original of your registration certificate with the Nigerian Medical Council, Pharmacist Board or Optometrist Registration Council and evidence of completion of housemanship or internship.
4. NYSC Call-up letter (GREEN Card) (Original and 6 photocopies)
4. Recent Passport Photographs – WHITE BACKGROUND (24 copies)
5. Compulsory medical certificate from a government or military hospital, showing health status in addition to the Meningitis vaccine.
6. TOILETRIES: antiseptics, insecticides, towel, sanitary pads, this is essential to keep you from infections and skin reactions.
7. MOSQUITO NET: Take along with a rope to tie it to your bunk to avoid malaria.
8. WAIST POUCH and Padlock: This is very essential. It serves as your bank and locker for important items. Things like phones, money, ID card, keys, ATM cards kept in there.
9. Extra CASH: A tleast have some amount with you prior when NYSC will settle Transport fares and other financial benefits.
10. Others are: EXTRA round necked White T-shirt, Plain White Tennis Shoe(s), White Socks though not important but these would help you during the service year. You may also get Cereals or Provisions for the CAMP days.
Also are bed sheets, pillow/cases, power bank, pain relief drugs, antibiotics.. etc.
