After nine days with her abductors, Mrs. Augusta Douglas-Ayam, sister of Special Adviser to the President on Research, Documentation and Strategy, Oronto Douglas, has been released.

Though it could not be immediately ascertained if any ransom was paid, a statement by the family, yesterday night in Yenagoa, said she was set free unconditionally in the early hours of the day.

Mrs. Augusta Douglas-Ayam, who was seized by armed men from her shop at Ogbia in Ogbia Local Government Area of the state, according to the statement, is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
