The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged opposition parties in the country to a debate on the achievements of the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh, threw the challenge on Wednesday in Abuja. Metuh said the debate should be on zone by zone and sector by sector basis.

Metuh who said that the achievements of the PDP-led government was visible for all to see, noted that there were spirited moves to politicise the content and direction of the party's last statement where it alerted Nigerians on attempts by some unpatriotic elements to frustrate President Jonathan.

The party in the statement, alleged that the insurgency in some parts of the country, was being sponsored by the opposition to distract and discredit President Jonathan`s administration.

"We stand by our statement and restate our commendation to President Jonathan for remaining undaunted and posting unprecedented achievements for the benefit of all Nigerians against all odds",Metuh said.

He added that it was an incontrovertible fact that Nigerians had witnessed a just and equitable allocation and distribution of resources and infrastructure across the country, under the present PDP-led administration.

This, according to him, is due to the forthrightness of President Jonathan and vigorous application of his Transformation Agenda which had touched every segment of national life.
