The supremacy battle for the National Chairmanship of the PDP is still raging hot.

According to NewsDay, supporters of the embattled chairman of the Party Ali Modu Sheriff on Wednesday clashed with supporters of the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Ahmed Makarfi.

The supporters, mainly youths, stormed the Wadata Plaza of the opposition party in mini buses chanting various songs.

First, placard-carrying anti-Ali Modu Sheriff protesters besieged the secretariat demanding that Sheriff should leave the party alone. “Sheriff must go”, “Sheriff leave our party alone” and “Agent of APC stop killing our party” their placards screamed.

Just as they retreated to have a rest, the anti-Ahmed Makarfi demonstrators started chanting songs in support of Sheriff. "Sheriff MUST stay," "Sheriff is our man," their placards affirmed.

Things could've gotten bloody but for the presence of security operatives.
