Metro Police Arraigns 3 for Witchcraft

The Ekiti state Police command on Friday arraigned three men in an Ado Ekiti Magistrates’ Court, charged with using juju and witchcraft.

Sgt. Leranmo Caleb, Police prosecutor said the trio;Asorona Asosanyin (45), Adaramolekan Bosede (48), and Rufus Akeju (50) had in their possession without lawful and reasonable excuse, criminal charms, reputed to have power to cause death.

He said the accused persons also used the charm to demand money "through unconscious means'' from one Ojo Oke.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Chief Magistrate, Mr Richard Adegboye, subsequently, granted bail to them in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned to November, 3o.(NAN)

Under what section of the Law did they err?
A Sango shrine or an Ayilala's place is a better "court" for them to be punished. A round peg only fits a round hole.
