Security operatives reportedly foiled an attempt to assassinate German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, during her visit to Prague, Czech Republic.
UK Tabloid The Sun reports that a man driving a black Mercedes, “attempted to join the motorcade as it moved between Prague airport and Czech government headquarters”.
“The suspect acted alone. He was not armed, but items found in the car could easily have been used as weapons, particularly some cement cubes,'' police spokesman Jozef Bocan said.
The suspect has since been arrested and taken into police custody.
