Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state must be having eggs all over his face at the moment. This is because the presidency has just countered his earlier claim that ailing President Muhammadu Buhari would return to the nation in 2 weeks.

Rochas, after meeting the president in London, had stated that he'd return to the country in two weeks as he had regained his health.

Sources in the Presidency have countered this claim, Punch reports.

“The president made it clear in his letter to the National Assembly that the duration of his stay in London would be determined by his doctor.

“That has not changed. He must get a clean bill of health before he returns,” the source added.

Buhari's spokesman, Femi Adeshine echoed this position.

“I am not a doctor and even if I am, it is clear that I am not part of the team that is attending to the President", he said. “His date of return will be decided by that medical team.

“More meetings are coming; there will be broader ones. That Sunday meeting was just the beginning,” he said.
