Manchester United have followed up their capture of Ander Herrera with the acquisition of Luke Shaw from Southampton.It is understood that Shaw was signed for a fee believed to be £27m, which could rise to £31m depending the player's success.
The 18-year old becomes the second buy of new manager Louis Van Gaal,and he is expected to be an understudy to Patrice Evra,whom he would succeed on the long term in the left back position for United.

Meanwhile his former Southampton teammate Adam Lallana is set to complete a £25m move to Liverpool.
