The Nigeria senate is set to interfere in the process to recall Dino Melaye from the Red Chamber.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had recently released a timetable for the activity following the collation of signatures from Dino Melaye's constituency (Kogi West).
Melaye on Tuesday raised the issue during plenary, alleging that the signatures collected were fakes. (read more about that here, there's a video included as well)
Reacting, the senate said it will look into the matter.
Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu said the recall process is dead on arrival going by the constitution. It's a long process, after the verification of votes.
The senate also said it would also verify if the process is indeed legal.
