Russian ski cross racer Maria Komissarova has been seriously injured during training in Sochi.
Komissarova was injured on the course for the ski cross event and immediately underwent surgery at a nearby hospital.
Russian state-owned news agency R-Sport quoted a source familiar with the situation as saying she had sustained a fractured vertebrae.
