The General Household Survey (GHS), a survey carried out by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in collaboration with World Bank Group has on Thursday revealed that Nigeria’s retail and manufacturing sectors has shown some form of improvement.
The survey which was carried out in the 2012/2013 round of survey shows improvement in retail and sells sector from 22% to 24% and manufacturing from 6.5% to 7.7%.
The report also shows the resilience of Nigerians in developing coping mechanism in times of economic shocks.
GHS, Daily Trust say, is administered every two years by NBS in collaboration with the World Bank Living Standard Measurement Team on a sub-sample of 5,000 GHS households.
