…Accuses FG of moving against Rivers gov
A new twist has emerged in the standoff between the Presidency and the Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi as a member of the House of Representatives, Andrew Uchendu, yesterday raised the alarm of an alleged plot to kill the governor.Uchendu, who represents Ikwere/Emoha Federal Constituency, said the series of attacks on Amaechi in recent times were part of a well-scripted plot by agents of the Federal Government to kill him.
Addressing newsmen at the National Assembly complex, the lawmaker, in a speech entitled “Before Chibuike Amaechi dies,” pleaded with Nigerians to prevail on agents of government to allow the governor live.
He said: “It is my plea to all men of goodwill to prevail on the Federal Government and its agents to allow Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to live.”
