Sports Today at the World Cup

Today at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament, all the group games will be rounded up and all 16 teams that made it through to the second round will be confirmed.

Four matches will take place today with the main attraction going to be what will be happening in group G.

It is a group that anything can still happen and a possibility that a big football country will be knocked out today.

But it could be a day that two African countries will be knocked out of the World Cup,leaving only Nigeria as the continent's sole representative in round 16.

If Ghana fails to beat Portugal,or USA secures a draw against Germany then they are out.

A draw will see Algeria through to the next round, but if they lose just like Ivory Coast did against Greece then they are out.

Games to be played today:
Germany vs USA (5pm)
Portugal vs Ghana (5pm)
Belgium vs South Korea(9pm)
Algeria vs Russia (9pm)

Key players to watch out for :
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Andre Ayew (Ghana)
Yacine Brahimi (Algeria)
Clint Dempsey (USA)

Tactical battle:
Juergen Klinsmann will be coming up against his former assistant when he leads USA to face Germany later today.
Klinsmann coached Germany at the 2006 World Cup and Joachim Low was his assistant then.
Will be nice to see how they can outfox each other.

Shocker of the day:
Would certainly be the elimination of Portugal from the World Cup. Rooted at the bottom of their group,Portugal has a massive goals difference to overhaul. They will need to beat Ghana by as much as four goals and hope USA loses for them to go through.
It is a difficult task and we might just see the end of Cristiano Ronaldo's campaign at this world cup.

Predictions:
Germany and USA to go through, and in group F,Algeria to seal second spot behind Belgium.
