Ghana Football Association(GFA) have denied allegations that they are involved in probable acts of match-fixing.

A joint undercover investigation by Channel 4 and The Daily Telegraph newspaper fingered the GFA of accepting to play in matches that have already been fixed.

Just like when the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) who were under the spotlight last month following investigations over a possible match-fixing in the game against Scotland,Ghana is now the latest African team to be linked with such scandal.

The investigation found two people to be culpable: a FIFA licensed agent and a Ghana club official, but the GFA has now called in the police to investigate the allegations.

"The contents of the publication are not wholly true," GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told BBC World Service.

"I have not agreed to any match-fixing deal involving the FA," he said.

"I was given a draft contract which I indicated to their agent that I hadn't read and I also had some issues with it and so it will be premature for anybody to say the FA is at fault."
