The Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday called for the resignation of its spokesperson, Olisah Metuh, and other party bigwigs. (read more here)

The statement was signed by Dennis Alonge-Niyi, the deputy national youth leader; Bashir Maidugu, the deputy national legal adviser; Okey Nnaedozie, the deputy national organizing secretary and Abdullahi Jalo, the deputy national publicity secretary. It expressed the view of other party leaders, it said.

They said their call was a “passionate appeal to halt the erroneous concept that the party tolerates corruption.”
