President Muhammadu Buhari may appoint Comrade Adams Oshiomhole into the APC-led federal government immediately after his tenure as the Governor of Edo state.
The President during his two days visit to the state tipped APC members that they should find a place for the outgoing governor at the Presidency.
Before now, rumour has been speculated that President Muhammadu Buhari may be pitching the Ministry of Petroleum resources for the former Labour union president.
Here are few reasons why President Buhari may appoint Comrade Adams Oshiomhole immediately after his tenure:
- Oshiomhole earned Buhari’s trust when he was acting as an unofficial spokesman of the government just after the 2015 general elections.
- At some quarters, it is believed that the out-going governor is one of the Party members that financed President Muhammadu Buhari’s election in 2015 and he tirelessly supported his government when it has its early crises and has been assured to be rewarded immediately he leaves office as the Edo state governor.
- President Buhari while speaking at the at the Palace of the new Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Nku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, before he embarked on the commissioning of several projects in the state said the outgoing governor should not be left for retirement rather should take up higher responsibility. “Oshiomhole is a hard working governor. We will need his services in Abuja”, he said.
