Sports AC Leopards spanked Warri Wolves 3-1 in Confederations cup Play Offs

Nigeria's representatives in the CAF Confederations cup, Warri Wolves’ were beaten for the 1st time since they began their continental campaign.

The Seasiders had not lost a single game since the championship began until Sunday evening, when Athlétic Club Léopards de Dolisie spanked the Nigerian outfit 3-0 in the first leg play-off round played at the Stade Denis Sassou Nguesso, Dolisiem

Mahamane Cissé, Bokuoa and Prestone Lakolo gave the home side the 3-NIL advantage ahead of the 2nd leg in Nigeria in a fortnight.

Cisse took advantage of the shaky backline to put his side forward in the 8th minute but Paul Aigbogun's men attempts to equalize wasn't good enough.

On resumption of the second half, Bokuoa and Lakolo sealed the win for AC Leopards as all efforts from the visitors to reduce the deficit proved futile.

Warri Wolves must now win the second leg 4-0 in Wrri if they hope to qualify for the round robin stage of the tournament. Goal
