The state working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano has nullified the suspension of Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the party. This decision comes after the APC executives in Dawakin ward, under Tofa LGA of Kano, suspended Ganduje on Monday over corruption allegations, stating that the suspension would remain until the former governor is cleared of the charges.

However, Abdullahi Abbas, the chairman of the APC in Kano, accused the ward executives of collaborating with the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and subsequently suspended them for six months.

Abbas alleged evidence of meetings between state government officials and those involved in Ganduje's suspension, leading to the decision by the state working committee to sanction them.

Meanwhile, amidst ongoing legal battles, the Kano high court ruled that Ganduje should appear before it on April 17 to face charges related to bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of public funds, alongside his wife and son.

These developments follow the 2018 release of a video by Daily Nigerian allegedly showing Ganduje receiving bundles of dollars from contractors, igniting a long-standing controversy that has embroiled the former governor in legal disputes and political turmoil.
