Ibrahim Garba, the commissioner for reconstruction, rehabilitation, and resettlement in Borno state, has passed away. His death occurred at his residence in the 777 housing estate in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. The news of his demise was received with deep sorrow and shock by Governor Babagana Zulum, as announced by Isa Gusau, the governor's spokesperson. Late Engr Ibrahim Idriss Garba, who previously served as the Governor's Special Adviser on Special Projects, was elevated and appointed commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement (RRR) at the beginning of Governor Zulum's second term.

The governor expressed his condolences to Garba's family, friends, associates, and members of the state executive council, praying for Allah to forgive the commissioner's shortcomings and admit him to Aljanna. This sad event follows Garba's recent involvement in a car accident within the governor's convoy while on a tour to the southern part of the state.
