Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a further reduction in the prices of diesel and aviation fuel. The prices now stand at N940 and N980 per litre, respectively, marking a noteworthy decrease from the previous rates.

This decision follows closely on the heels of the refinery's recent reduction to N1,000 per litre just two weeks ago, which was met with widespread acclaim. The revised prices of N940 for diesel and N980 for aviation fuel are applicable to varying purchase quantities, with larger customers enjoying even lower rates.

Anthony Chiejina, Head of Communication at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, emphasized the company's commitment to alleviating the economic burden on Nigerian consumers. He highlighted a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations, ensuring affordable fuel prices across their network, from Lagos to Maiduguri. Customers can now procure diesel for as low as N1,050 per litre and aviation fuel for N980 at major airports served by MRS.

Chiejina underscored the importance of extending this partnership to other major oil marketers, emphasizing the aim to prevent retail buyers from facing exorbitant prices. The collaboration reflects Dangote Petroleum Refinery's dedication to providing accessible fuel options to consumers nationwide, thereby addressing concerns surrounding the cost of living and economic sustainability.
