In a resolute response to the recent surge in attacks within Plateau State, Governor Caleb Mutfwang vowed to combat the escalating insecurity by targeting drug peddlers.

The governor expressed his anguish during a visit to communities affected by the recent violence in Mangu Local Government Area and other parts of the state. Linking the attacks to the behavior of drug-induced youths, Mutfwang emphasized the urgent need to address the drug menace in society.

He declared a crackdown on drug-related activities, stating, "We will go after them, and if they have anywhere they want to do their business, Plateau is certainly not the place." The governor urged citizens to be vigilant, cautioned against supporting criminals, and emphasized the deliberate attempt to cripple the state's economy through security challenges.

At the palace of the paramount ruler of Mwaghavul in Mangu, Mutfwang expressed profound sadness over the extensive destruction, calling for unity and resilience in the face of adversity.
