In a shocking incident in Damari, Sabuwa LGA, Katsina State, bandits abducted a bride and 62 wedding guests last Thursday. The bandits released a video on social media, threatening to force the already married bride to marry one of them unless a ransom of N100 million is paid. They also vowed to sell the kidnapped wedding guests if their demands aren't met.

During the attack, four vigilante members were killed, and over 55 wedding guests, including children, were kidnapped. The video, led by a gang leader in a police uniform, shows captives with guns, and the bride is seen in an army uniform.

The families of the victims confirmed the N100 million ransom demand, expressing their inability to pay such a large sum. The bandits challenge the state governor in the video, testing his commitment to rescuing the victims.

Among the abducted are eight sisters and nine daughters of one family, while another reveals his wife, six children, and 13 relatives were taken. The Katsina State government is working with security agents to rescue the captives, but details on police efforts are yet to be provided.

The community anxiously awaits updates on the fate of the abducted bride and wedding guests as they endure this distressing situation.
