Benjamin Best Nnanyereugo, popularly known as Killaboi, who was accused of murdering Augusta Osedion, has been apprehended in Sierra Leone. Cordellia Okonye, Augusta's mother, provided insights into Killaboi's arrest.

After Augusta's murder, Killaboi abandoned her body, took her phone, and fled. He killed Augusta on July 13th, acquired a Sierra Leonean passport by July 28, and reached out to Cordellia, initially expressing remorse and willingness to surrender to the police.

In their interactions, he claimed self-defense, but later blocked Cordellia and accused her of prostituting her daughter. Killaboi's family trailed him and circulated his passport photo worldwide, emphasizing identifying tattoos. A relative in Sierra Leone spotted someone resembling Killaboi, who went into hiding when he was declared wanted by Nigerian authorities.

Cordellia's relative met Sierra Leone's Commissioner of Police, presented Augusta's remains and Killaboi's photo, and initiated efforts to apprehend him. They discovered Killaboi had stayed at a hotel under a false name, Kanu Princeton Samuel, with a Sierra Leonean passport bearing his photo.

Sierra Leonean police, armed with the passport and a local number, tracked down Killaboi and arrested him at 2 AM on October 21. Cordellia expressed relief that he was finally in custody, saying, "One per cent of the pain is gone this morning that Benjamin is caught."
