The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has made a significant move by terminating the appointments of 21 heads of various parastatals, agencies, and government companies under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

This action, communicated through a statement by his Director of Press, Anthony Ogunleye, required the affected appointees to promptly transfer the responsibilities of their offices to the most senior officers in their respective ranks.

Among the affected positions were the Group MD/CEO of Abuja Investment Company Ltd, CEO/MD of Abuja Markets Management Ltd, MD/CEO of Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company, and CEO/MD of Abuja Property Development Company, among others.

The statement did not elaborate on the reasons behind these terminations, but it signaled a significant shake-up within the FCTA. It was mentioned that new appointments to these positions would be made in the future.
