The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is rallying support for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in the 2023 The Best FIFA Men’s Player award. Osimhen finds himself among the elite nominees, including Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Kylian Mbappe.

Football enthusiasts have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred player to clinch the coveted award. The NFF has taken to its social media platforms, like X (formerly Twitter), to encourage Nigerians to vote for Osimhen.

The Napoli striker played a pivotal role in his team's victory in the 2022/23 Serie A, netting 26 goals and providing four assists in 32 league appearances. In the current season, he has already notched three goals in four Serie A matches. Napoli currently stands fifth in the Serie A table with seven points after four games.

Osimhen's stellar performances also extended to international play, where he emerged as the top scorer in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, bagging an impressive 10 goals. He showcased his goal-scoring prowess with a remarkable hat-trick in the Super Eagles' resounding 6-0 victory over São Tomé and Principe in the final qualifier held in Uyo.
